Show Notes

THIS EPISODE CONTAINS ONLY LIGHT SPOILERS
In this special episode we look at the pre-Halloween films of horror maestro John Carpenter.

It was with "Halloween" in 1978 that John Carpenter changed the course of horror for at least ten years, and ushered in a decade of masked killers chasing sensible virgins around.

But this episode eschews all of that stuff. We take a look at the films that allowed John Carpenter to define his signature style, the look, the themes and the characters that typically show up in a John Carpenter film.

Oh, and we also stage our own little Halloween tribute involving Tracey the Babysitter, Ted the Horny Boyfriend and Dr. Val Thomas - ACTION PSYCHIATRIST!

So grab your knitting needle and your repurposed coat-hanger! We're off to find out how The Shape took shape!
